Not at all. Each service can stand alone or be combined as part of a thoughtful, evolving plan. Some clients begin with Prelude, while others engage with Obituary Studio, Tribute Planning, or Estate Companion based on their immediate needs. Additional services are available.

Yes. Many families reach out on behalf of parents, spouses, or loved ones. Swansong partners with individuals and families to ensure wishes are understood and transitions are handled with care.
Absolutely. All services are provided with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality. Personal information, wishes, and documents are handled with care and respect at every step.
No. Swansong does not provide medical, legal or financial advice. The role is supportive and organizational and coordination with attorneys, care-providers, financial professionals and service providers can be part of the process.
An end-of-life doula provides non-medical support, guidance and presence during the later stages of life and around end-of-life planning. This can include helping individuals and families think through wishes, conversations, emotional concerns and practical preparations in a calm and supportive way.
Prelude is an evolving end-of-life readiness planning process that creates a clear baseline and roadmap for the future. It helps organize healthcare wishes, important documents, personal information, legacy stories, and preferences — while also identifying action items and areas to focus on over time. Prelude is designed to grow with you as life changes.
Yes. Many clients choose to prepare life stories, obituaries, and memorial arrangements in advance as a gift of clarity and comfort for loved ones. These can always be updated over time.
An ethical will or legacy letter is a personal document that shares values, life lessons, reflections, and messages for loved ones. It is not a legal document but a meaningful way to preserve wisdom and personal history.
Estate Companion provides hands-on assistance with organizing documents, coordinating next steps, supporting household transitions (including downsizing), and offering compassionate support so families are not left to manage everything alone.
No. Most services are available remotely through Zoom conversations, interviews and follow-up sessions. For clients on the South Coast of Massachusetts, in-person support is also available when hands-on help is needed.
Swansong offers a combination of packaged services and hourly support. Planning and legacy services — including Prelude, Obituary Studio, and Tribute Planning — are available individually or as bundled packages. Estate Companion and hands-on assistance services are offered on an hourly basis, with bundled hours available at discounted rates. Pricing is reviewed clearly during your complimentary consultation.
